1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the EZTeach application (“App”) or accessing the EZTeach website at ezteach.org (“Site”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App or Site.

2. Description of Service

EZTeach is a K–12 school management platform available on iPhone, iPad, and Mac. The App provides features including but not limited to: grades and assignments, attendance tracking, AI lesson plans, learning games, free books, school library management, homework submissions, video meetings, messaging, parent portal, substitute management, behavior tracking, and district management.

3. Accounts and Registration

To use EZTeach, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information during registration.

Account types include: School Administrator, Teacher, Librarian, Janitor/Staff, Substitute Teacher, Parent, Student, and District Administrator. Each role has different access levels and permissions within the App.

4. Subscriptions and Billing

EZTeach offers tiered subscription plans for schools and districts. Key subscription terms:

Subscriptions are billed on a monthly or yearly basis through our website at ezteach.org via Stripe.
All plans include every feature. Tiers differ only by student capacity (from 200 to 7,500 students).
Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period unless canceled before the renewal date.
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings on our website.
If your subscription expires or is canceled, access to premium features will be restricted until renewed.
No refunds are provided for partial billing periods.
District pricing is available for organizations managing multiple schools.

Prices are listed in USD and are subject to change with notice. Current pricing is always displayed on our pricing page.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App, other accounts, or related systems.
Upload or transmit any harmful, offensive, or inappropriate content.
Use the App to collect personal information of minors without proper authorization.
Interfere with or disrupt the App or its infrastructure.
Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any portion of the App.

6. Student Data and Privacy

EZTeach is committed to protecting student data in compliance with FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act) and COPPA (Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act). Schools and districts are responsible for obtaining necessary parental consent before creating student accounts. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for detailed information about data collection and handling.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the App and Site are owned by EZTeach and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any content without our express written permission.

8. Third-Party Content

The App may include content from third parties, including but not limited to public domain books from Project Gutenberg, public domain films from the Internet Archive, and AI-generated lesson plans. EZTeach does not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of third-party content.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App and Site are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, EZTeach shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App or Site.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by posting the updated Terms on our Site. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
